Promise

"what is promise? Something that we should keep?"

Everyone said like that, but the fact is; most people would break their own promises. So what does the word promise actually mean?

I'm not here to tell you what does the word PROMISE mean, I'm here, asking you, wanting to know, wanting to understand what does the word PROMISE (really) mean.

Some people often said 'I meet you here at 10, I won't be late, I promise!' But what did they do? Yes, they broke their promise by coming late or even not coming. Or maybe some boys or girls said to you, 'I love you, I won't hurt you, I promise!' And what did they do? Yeah again, the same thing. They broke their promises. They cheated, they didn't care anymore, etc, etc.

So what does this word really mean?

Sometimes in a relationship the word promise is really needed. But not just the WORD, this word also should followed by the ACT. By the proof that the promise won't be broken.

'People change and promises are broken'

Yes, that was right. People break their promises mostly because they're changing. Changing into somewhat perfectly different person. I can't deny it, it had happened to me. So there was this person who promised me something. But somehow he had change into that different person, he was turning so cold, I could even tell it was not him. He never told me why, even though i've already asked him why. And as I allready expected, he broke his promise and he left, oh yeah he did it without any apologize. It hurts, really, it hurts a lot.

I hate liers, and for me, the people who are not keeping their promises are liers. All I wanted to say is just don't be so easy saying 'I promise' cause if you don't really mean it, sooner or later you will be regreting it for sure. Trust me.

Okay I'm done with this unimportant cryptyc speech but yeah I'm still wondering 'What does the word PROMISE actually mean?' Could someone tell me please?
